The Future of Collaboration in Higher Education

There have been many disruptive influences on higher education over time, starting with correspondence courses a few decades ago, and the significant advent of technology in recent times. Institutes of higher education have responded to these influences by incorporating them into their repertoires, and by collaborating with industry, civil society, government and other institutions to develop robust models of higher education over time. In this session, we will discuss the future of collaboration in higher education, specifically, with the private sector (from the perspective of recruitment, placement and technology sourcing), government and civil society (to ensure the continued value of higher education) and inter-institutional collaboration (for the sharing of best practices, and collaborative offerings). We will conclude by providing a roadmap for institutions of higher education to collaborate on their different missions in the future.
